Jewelry is delicate. When it breaks or tarnishes there is no sense in letting it sit there collecting dust. Or even worse, discarding it. Send it to leMel and we are happy to bring your jewelry (from any brand) back to life.
Recycle
Do you have valuable precious metal (silver, gold, platinum) jewelry you no longer wear? We can help you melt those items in exchange for credit to shop at leMel for something you’ll love! Not sure if a piece you have is real or costume? Send it in + we will let you know!

STEP 1: SORT THROUGH YOUR JEWELRY BOX
Find any pieces that you want to Repurpose, Repair or Recycle!

STEP 2: PACK UP YOUR JEWELRY!
Please place your jewelry in the provided clear plastic baggies. Only place 1 piece of jewelry in each bag to avoid tangling. If you run out of bags, please use a ziploc. We suggest you snap a photo of what you're mailing for your records.
STEP 3: MAIL IT IN!
Place your jewelry with the completed information card into the pink bubble mailer. Place the pink bubble mailer inside the provided bubble mailer and affix the prepaid UPS label on the outside. Drop off at your local UPS store. Please mail your kit back in within 5 business days of receipt.
Need more time? No problem! Send us an email (hello@shoplemel.com) and we'll send you an updated USPS label.
WHAT'S NEXT? We'll be in touch via email when we receive your jewels! Make sure you fill out the enclosed information card and mail it back so we have all your details.

How do I know if it’s worth it for me to repurpose something?
If you have a family heirloom, or a piece of jewelry that holds meaning near and dear to your heart, or maybe just a special item that was gifted to you that you no longer wear, we would suggest REPURPOSING it. Why not make it something new that you will actually wear. We love these kinds of projects and are happy to brainstorm ideas for your piece!
How much do these types of projects cost?
All services are subject to standard rates. Prices do vary from project to project and even repair to repair. We have listed out the most common repairs and custom jobs to give you a better idea. How long does this process take?
Please allow 3-4 business days for your Trade In Kit to arrive at your house. Once you mail it back to us, we need a 1-2 weeks to process your jewelry refresh. Below is typical timing on each type of project:
-Repurpose - anywhere from 4 weeks+ depending on how detailed the project is and the time it takes to approve the design.
-Repair - typically takes 3 weeks
-Recycle - leMel credit in form of a gift certificate will be emailed to you within 2 weeks
Recycle my precious metals? What does that mean?
We will take your precious metals (silver, gold or platinum) and weigh it to get a value for us to recycle it (aka melt the gold). It is not economical to melt your gold down and use it on your project. This is actually VERY expensive. So in most cases when we take diamonds out of a ring for example and make a new ring. We will sell the gold from the original ring for the weighted value. We then put the credit towards your project or towards the purchase of any leMel piece!
What if I change my mind?
If you change your mind and decide not to proceed with any service, we will simply invoice you for return shipping and send your items back to you as is.
